Steve Pierce is a Republican member of the Arizona State Senate. He has represented the 1st district since 2009 and currently serves as President of the Senate. Pierce was named to the leadership position following the recall of Russell Pearce on November 8, 2011.[1] At the time Pierce was serving as Majority Whip.

He previously served as the chairman for the Yavapai County Republican Party and he has been a member of the State Executive Committee for the Arizona Republican Party since 2003.[2]

Pierce has received a B.S. in Animal Science at University of Arizona in 1972.
